As part of the “One Billion Trees” National Movement initiated by the President of Mongolia, the Ministry of Justice and Home Affairs organized a tree-planting event on October 17, 2026, at “Turgen” Park in the 14th khoroo of Khan-Uul District.

The academic community of the University of Internal Affairs joined the initiative, with faculty members, staff, cadets, and students planting 550 elm trees at the park.

Tree planting plays an important role in mitigating the effects of global climate change, protecting and expanding forest and water resources, and maintaining ecological balance.

The academic community of the University of Internal Affairs encourages citizens, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations to actively participate in the “One Billion Trees” National Movement, contribute to environmental conservation, and take practical action by planting and nurturing trees.

ONE BILLION TREES — IT STARTS WITH THE ONE TREE YOU PLANT.
