The University of Internal Affairs, a recipient of the Order of Sukhbaatar and the Red Banner of Military Merit, and the Order of Military Merit, has been continuously training human resources for the legal, internal affairs, and national security sectors for 92 years. The University officially opened its 2026–2027 academic year on October 5, 2026, with a grand opening ceremony.
The opening ceremony was attended by President, Doctor (Ph.D), Professor, Brigadier General T.Sukhbold, Administrative Council Members, distinguished guests, including Honored Teacher of Mongolia, Doctor (Ph.D), Professor, Colonel N.Naranjamts, Honored Lawyer of Mongolia, Doctor (Ph.D), Professor, Police Colonel M.Bataev, Honored Lawyer of Mongolia, Doctor (Ph.D), Professor, Police Colonel Ch.Nyamsuren, Brigadier General T.Khurelbaatar, Chairman of the Senior Committee, Police Colonel S.Boldbaatar, as well as faculty members, staff, cadets, students, and pupils of the University.
On this occasion, the President, Doctor (Ph.D), Professor, Brigadier General T.Sukhbold extended his greetings to the University’s academic community on the beginning of the 2026–2027 academic year. He emphasized the University’s vital responsibility to educate and train specialized public servants tasked with safeguarding Mongolia’s independence and national security, ensuring public safety and peace, and upholding the rule of law. In connection with the Government designation of 2026 as the “Year of Supporting Education,” he highlighted the University’s plans to progressively implement blended online and classroom-based education, promote AI-based digital transformation, and digitalize attendance management under the initiative “Teacher Development – Quality Education.” He also emphasized that strengthening the integration of education, scientific research, and practical activities will remain a key priority.
This academic year, more than 1,300 cadets and students have joined the University community. In the 2026–2027 academic year, the University is committed to enhancing the quality and accessibility of education, updating and improving its curricula, developing its digital learning environment, and increasing the impact and effectiveness of scientific research, in line with its core mission of training and developing human resources for specialized public services.
As part of its efforts to improve the quality and accessibility of education, the University is also expanding opportunities for blended online and classroom-based learning and developing its digital learning environment to enable public servants to pursue education and professional development while remaining at their workplaces.
